Make Up Revolution Haul!

Hello Everyone, I hope your all well so this blog is a continuation of my last blog as that was quite a haul i did, this blog is focused purely on Make Up Revolution.
I have been dying to get my hands on this brand!

You may have heard me say before but i am a poor student, college fees are soooo expensive, So i am on the hunt for purse friendly make up. Enter make up revolution :) I think i went through their entire range picking out a little bit of everything, so here we go...

Iconic1 Palette: I do love my palettes especially neutral colours and this palette has it all, I have heard that this is a great alternative to the Urban Decay Naked Palette, but i myself have never used Urban Decay so i couldn't compare the two, but i will say the colours appear very similar. This palette has a mix of matte and shimmer shades and ranges from highlight, to light brown, to darker browns and eventually grey / black shades. I have used this Palette everyday for work and also on a night out, the variety of looks that can be created with this palette is amazing. The shadow itself is very buildable , super pigmented and blends like a dream and the thing i love most is it stays put. I created a dark smokey eye for a night out and it literally lasted all night. Really impressed with this palette i have a feeling i will be adding Iconic 2 & 3 to my collection very soon and they are only £6 each, total bargain!

Ultra Face Base Primer: Okay it's confession time, I have never used a primer before - sounds shocking doesn't it - but my thought was having oily skin surely primer would make the oil worse? - I couldn't possibly be more wrong.. I really like this primer when i saw the gel formula i was a little worried that it would be sticky but when you smooth this on the skin it feels velvet smooth i was pleasantly surprised. This does a good job at giving a pore less finish and it does hold foundation in place also, i imagined my make up to slide off but i was wrong once again, finally it helps control oil which is an added bonus - very pleased with my first primer.. you can pick this up for £5.

Baked Highlighter: This is a first for me as i have only ever used liquid highlighters in the past but this was such a beautiful colour and the subtle shimmer really catches the eye, the shade i picked up is Peach highlights. When i swept my brush across the highlighter it did pick up quite a bit of product so i would suggest shaking some off before applying. I think this highlighter is perfect for giving the look of a natural glow. As only a little is needed this pad will last a while and at only £3, i am reluctant to go back to liquid highlighters after using this.

Focus & Fix Brow Kit: Another first for me i thought i would brave a brow kit as my eyebrows seem lost and i am still practising, there are 3 shades in this kit plus a brow gel for setting them. After trialling them i do find that some shades are darker than they appear so i am using the lightest shade in the medium - dark kit but i may pick up the light - medium kit. The kit itself is nice and compact the powder sits nicely and it comes with a handy angled mini brush which is just right for applying the powder without getting messy. A little more practice needed on my part ;)

Focus & Fix Concealer: So this is a liquid concealer in shade light, and i have to admit i was a little bit disappointed with it as i found it a bit watery, and the coverage isn't great and it tends to wipe off. But to be honest this is the only product i have tried from make up revolution that i would avoid everything else has been fantastic - i am going to purchase the cover and conceal palette instead - give that a try :)

Amazing Lipstick:  Shades L-R; Lady, Divine & Nude. I love these lipsticks considering they are only £1 each they are an absolute bargain. They are matte lipsticks which are creamy in texture so they don't dry the lips out. The colours are intense and it stays put. I wore the red shade (Lady) to go out Halloween and i only had to re apply once, i had kissed people on cheeks - without leaving a print and had drinks too the staying power is pretty great. I am impressed i don't usually go for lipstick i am a total gloss girl but i will be getting more of these - and i am eager to try the gloss!

Blush: Make up revolution have got perfection when it comes to blusher, This is such a lovely matte shade it is quite pigmented so you don't need a lot on your brush and it's a light powder so it doesn't go cakey. As a girl that is never without blush i am really pleased to have this in my collection :) Well done Make Up Revolution you are building quite the impressive collection.

Well I hope you have enjoyed my blog and it has helped paint a picture of Make up revolution. Let me know if your thinking of trying their products or if you already have any in your collection :)
