Look who's been haulin'

Hello Everyone,

So first off I would just like to say how much I ADORE my new layout and it is thanks to the wonderful people over at Pipdig. After all I am new to the blogging world and I wanted my blog layout to look nice and like I actually care about my blog so I decided to get a layout done. I decided to take a pre made layout and I fell in love with this one straight away, it's simple but has a girly edge to it. The people at Pipdig are so friendly and helpful, all it took was 24 hours and I had a brand new look. If you have a blog and are thinking of a new layout I would highly recommend. You can have a browse Here and you can follow them on twitter Here. Seriously cannot say enough good about them :)

Anyway onto today's topic... as you can probably tell from the above photo I went a bit crazy in superdrug and boots.. So as I purchased quite a bit of stuff I'm going to carry this over a couple of blogs as I feel this post would end up huge if I tried to do everything at once ;)

So without further ado...

Barry M Pencil Eye Liner: This was actually an accidental purchase.. I tend to get quite tired eyes and red water lines on my eyes so I have been after a nude liner to try and brighten my eyes up a bit, alas I hunted high and low and i couldn't find a nude shade, my closest choices were white or bronze. I thought white would look a bit strange so I opted for this bronze shade and although it doesn't do much in the sense of brightening eyes it's a really nice shade and makes a change from black! The pencil itself is very soft and goes on the water line smooth - trust me guys I have had my share of pencil liners that scratch the eye... ouch! - but this one is really quite nice.

Bourjois Felt Tip Eye liner: I am so super impressed with this eye liner. First of all guys I am one of those people that are just useless with liquid eye liner.. I have trouble with straight lines and i just get into a big mess. This one however is literally like a felt tip pen, it's not runny or messy its just so simple to apply. I like this eye liner as it glides on the lid easily without snagging or smudging on the skin, The colour is literally jet black and it doesn't fade when put on over the top of eye shadow - I have known liquid liner to go almost grey when placed over the top of eye shadow. This is a Liner that will last all day. This is a liner i have a feeling i will re purchase again and again, it's quickly become a favourite.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder: If you lot happened to read my first blog post about skin care you will know how much I struggle with my oily skin.. I love my No7 matte foundation but it still doesn't stop the oil so I have been trying out powder, and i have to say it has helped control the oil, It does last a few hours but i do tend to pop it in my bag to top up maybe once during my day at work. I picked up the shade translucent as my skin is quite fair and it just sits on the skin quite nicely its a light powder so it doesn't go cakey. A great buy :)

Barry M Gelly Nail Polish: I love nail polish, i have endless bottles of nail polish the only irritable thing about it is i work with a keyboard most of the day and the polish tends to chip really easy. I picked up three new shades left to right on above pictures; Paprika, Chilli and Coca. i thought the shades looked like the colours of autumn leaves :) As with all nail polish i always use a base coat and a top coat, I use Sally Hansen no more breaks and i use this for both base and top. I'm generally used to painting my nails just sweep on and done, You can not do that with this particular polish as i quickly found out. I would suggest taking time to apply this polish as it is quite thick and takes a little more care to prevent it going uneven. But the finish is worth it, gorgeous colours and when used with a top coat this polish lasts days, literally i do my nails with this on a Sunday night and i'm good for the week until Friday with very little chips, that is amazing lasting power for nail polish. Thumbs up Barry M.

Enjoy your week everyone!

Emz xoxo
